After his clean sheet and commanding performance during our goalless draw with Barnet, goalkeeper Jed Ward has been included in the National League Team of the Week.
Ward made three important stops to keep the Bees out as he helped Rovers go top of the National League on Tuesday night.
The 21-year-old loanee has now kept 10 clean sheets in the league (11 in all competitions) and is one of just three players to have started all 26 of Rovers’ league fixtures this season.
This is Ward's third appearance in the National League Team of the Week following his inclusions after our draw with Woking and away win over Gateshead.
Rovers excellent season has now seen 18 inclusions in Team of the Week seeing Charlie McCann (4), Ward (3), Christian Doidge (2) and Ryan Inniss (2) boasting the most appearances.
Kyle McAllister, Liam Sercombe, Ben Tozer, Adam May, Jamie Robson, Harvey Bunker and Joe Quigley have also all featured on solo occasions.
Congratulations Jed, very much deserved!
