We’re delighted to continue supporting the Captain Paul Watson Foundation (formerly Sea Shepherd UK).
For the past few seasons, we have proudly sported the skull and crossbones insignia on our kit to show our support for Sea Shepherd UK.
This year, the organisation has gone through a rebrand, and is now named Captain Paul Watson Foundation UK, preserving their independence in the UK and continuing to deliver their crucial campaigns.
Soon, you’ll see their new Neptune’s Pirates logo (see below) on our banners and flag at the ground, symbolizing our unwavering support for the Foundation’s mission to end the destruction of habitats and illegal killing of wildlife around the UK’s coastline and across the globe.
This new logo will also appear on our third shirt, but for this season we’re featuring the Sea Shepherd logo, with the funds flowing to the Captain Paul Watson Foundation UK through to Sea Shepherd France, who are staunch supporters and campaign allies of Captain Paul Watson.
This shirt is in the dazzle camouflage design of the former Steve Irwin and Bob Barker Sea Shepherd vessels and is made of 100% recycled polyester.
If you choose to buy this shirt, you will be helping the Captain Paul Watson Foundation UK team and its collaborators, who remain steadfast in protecting and conserving the ocean by employing a unique strategy of assertive non-violence and daring interventions against illegal activities that exploit marine life.
We are thrilled to be partnering with such a remarkable charity, who are making a vital difference to ocean protection and hope you’ll back them too, by buying this shirt or getting involved in their work.
We’ve long been friends and supporters of Sea Shepherd, founded by Captain Paul Watson so many years ago - this years FGR third shirt carries that logo for the last time, as the organisation has been taken over and Sea Shepherd UK has had to rename itself. The new organisation is the Captain Paul Watson Foundation - to me they are the real Sea Shepherds.
