We have launched a partnership with Worcester-based, sustainable packaging enterprise BioPak.
Rovers have been using plant-based food-packaging supplied by BioPak for many years - which has furthered our commitment to reduce single-use plastics on-site.
By using BioPak’s innovative composting network Compost Connect, this will turn packaging and food waste into nutrient soil.
Managing Director of BioPak UK, Leanne Osborne, said: "At BioPak, putting the planet first is at the heart of what we do, and that’s why we are truly delighted to be able to partner with Forest Green Rovers.
"They not only align with our beliefs and thirst for innovation and change, but they also want to be leaders in their industry. This is something BioPak admires and strives for as well.
"This is only the start for Forest Green Rovers, and we’re excited to be a part of this journey and see the impacts they make in the world of football and beyond."
FGR CEO, Henry Staelens, commented: "It’s good to be working with BioPak. Their compostable products are an important feature of our matchdays, ensuring our waste initiatives are as robust as possible."
Made from plants, BioPak’s innovative, award-winning packaging continues to disrupt the single-use plastic sector, especially within the sporting world.
The launch of Compost Connect diverts food and waste packaging from landfill and increasing the accessibility of compost facilities to businesses and individuals.
